So, I know that the Samsung NX 18-200 very nice lens. At least it’s better than 18-55/3.5-5.6 on the center. (you can read my previous test of 18-200 here).
But, my favorite kit lens is 20-50/3.5-5.6 (because it small), and I’m finally going to make a comparison 18-200 and 20-50.
It’s a simple test – just few shots with typical settings.
Conditions:
- Samsung NX200
- Daylight
- Mode A
- Auto ISO
- Auto WB
- Auto Focus (practice shows that the AF is much more reliable than my hands)
First result: center. (all pics clickable up to full size view)
As you can see – center on 18-200 looks very good.
After such a good start, I decided to check the angles:
Here the situation was not so good.
In any case, Samsung NX 18-200/3.5-6.3 is a great versatile lens. The fact that it was able to show sufficient sharpness in the center – a great achievement. I continue to recommend it to those who do not want to carry multiple lenses and change them on the go.
